The Music Teachers’ Association is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
She was a passionate supporter of music in its many forms and it has played a major part in her role as head of state. Millions of children and young people have had the experience of playing music for her over her tenure and these moments have been life-changing.
Many of our members will now be involved in coordinating the music for moments to mark her passing. We hope that this music also provides occasions to reflect on her humility, wisdom and grace as well as celebrate her life.
